The bright green donuts made from variscite have a diameter of approx. 3.0 - 3.4 cm. The hole has a diameter of approx. 7 mm
Stone healing according to Michael Gienger uses Variscite to promote clear expression and a sober, rational attitude. The stone is also valued for its uplifting and balancing effect.
The name Variscite is derived from the first known localities of the mineral in Vogtland (Latin: Varisca); the spellings Varizit or Variskit are therefore incorrect.
