The drilled Nuumite tumbled stones are approx. 2.5-2.7 cm in size.
Nuummite is an Anthophyllite-Gendrite-Slate and belongs to the amphiboles.
The name of the mineral is derived from the Localities Nuuk (Greenland). Due to its rarity, Nuumite is also called opal of the north. Another spelling is Nuummite.
In stone healing according to Michael Gienger, Nuummite is used when it is important to respect oneself and others and to conscientiously fulfill commitments.
